From March 27 to 29, 2025, the Exhibition of Vietnamese Export Highlights (HCMC EXPORT) and the International Gifts & Souvenirs Exhibition (GIFTS SHOW HCMC) will take place in Ho Chi Minh City.
The fair is expected to create a breakthrough for Vietnamese export enterprises, including those in the leather and footwear sector.
Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City Leather and Footwear Association has been accompanying HCMC EXPORT since 2023. After two years of co-organization, in 2025, the Association continues to strengthen communication activities, invite businesses to participate, and survey demand for trade connection.
At the same time, training and coaching programs are being organized to improve the competitiveness of leather and footwear businesses. These activities not only enhance the effectiveness of the fair but also affirm the Association's role in supporting enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City and across the country.
On March 4, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Business Support and Development (CSED) and the Ho Chi Minh City Leather and Footwear Association signed a bilateral cooperation agreement to coordinate the organization of HCMC EXPORT & GIFTS SHOW HCMC 2025.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Khánh, Vice President/Secretary General of the Ho Chi Minh City Leather and Footwear Association, said that this year HCMC EXPORT aims to double its scale compared to last year.
The key difference of this year’s fair will be the diversification of buyers and markets. In addition to traditional markets, focus will be placed on Southeast Asian markets and neighboring countries.
Mr. Le Minh Trung, Director of CSED, and Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh, Vice Chairman/General Secretary of the HCMC Leather and Footwear Association, signed a bilateral cooperation agreement in coordinating the organization of HCMC EXPORT & GIFTS SHOW HCMC 2025.
Currently, 150 organizations and individuals have registered to buy and connect trade. In addition, the organizers are also engaging with supermarkets, international e-commerce systems, and platforms.
This year, in addition to traditional key export groups such as textiles, leather and footwear, and food industries, supporting export services such as logistics, banking sponsorship, and other relevant products are also invited.
According to the cooperation memorandum, both parties will work bilaterally and closely coordinate with relevant stakeholders to effectively implement key events celebrating the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's reunification.
The HCMC EXPORT & GIFTS SHOW HCMC 2025 event is considered the “opening” event of the year and the first national-level event promoting trade for Vietnam’s key export industries in 2025.
The scale of this year’s exhibition is expected to gather 1,000 booths from over 900 domestic and international enterprises showcasing products from the following sectors: agriculture, food, foodstuff; equipment, packaging, labeling, printing…; traditional export groups: textiles, leather and footwear, handicrafts…; and export support service sectors (logistics, insurance, finance...).
With an expected 50,000 visitors, HCMC EXPORT 2025 is anticipated to be the largest event in terms of scale, product and supplier quality, and number of potential international buyers compared to previous editions.
HCMC EXPORT & GIFTS SHOW HCMC 2025 promises to be a significant event contributing to boosting exports, connecting businesses with international markets, and expanding sustainable supply chains. It aims not only to promote trade but also to honor the value and quality of Vietnamese goods, contributing to sustainable economic development.
