Phu Sang Seafood Processing Service Cooperative (in Thien Cam town, Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province) currently has about 50% of its agricultural product output consumed and traceable through digital platforms. Thanks to digital transformation, the Phu Sang fish sauce brand is not only welcomed by domestic consumers but has also reached foreign markets.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Sang – Director of Phu Sang Seafood Processing Service Cooperative – said that when most commercial activities revolve around digital transformation, traditional sales methods seem outdated. To acquire online customers, the cooperative invested in infrastructure such as computers, modern printers, and other necessary equipment. In addition, we actively participated in training classes and explored digital transformation programs organized by local authorities. From there, we built online sales channels via social networks like Facebook, Zalo, and the Ha Tinh e-commerce platform to promote products and provide professional sales consultation...
Digital transformation is an inevitable trend in today’s society, and young people cannot stay on the sidelines. The application of digital transformation and leveraging the advantages of social networks to promote local specialties is the approach Mr. Le Minh Tuan is taking. He owns two TikTok channels, “Chàng trai Hà Tĩnh” with 43.3 thousand followers and “HT Food - Đặc sản Hà Tĩnh” with nearly 8 thousand followers.
In addition to introducing the distinctive flavors of each specialty, Mr. Le Minh Tuan also tells interesting stories about Ha Tinh province. As a result, the number of followers on both TikTok channels increased rapidly. Notably, since partnering with OCOP product producers in the region and listing products on TikTok Shop, many customers from all over the country have placed orders for Ha Tinh specialties. Currently, his TikTok Shop cart has thousands of product purchases, all with positive feedback. This initial success has motivated him to continue promoting Ha Tinh specialties.
From traditional stalls, Ha Tinh specialties are now available on all e-commerce platforms and social networks. From the Ha Tinh e-commerce platform (hatinhtrade.com.vn) to platforms such as Facebook, TikTok Shop, Shopee, Lazada… consumers can easily find and purchase OCOP products and outstanding rural industrial products of the province.
In addition, the Ha Tinh e-commerce platform currently features 555 booths introducing and selling more than 690 products, of which over 490 are provincial specialties. The products featured and sold on the platform are quality items from reputable establishments such as: Luan Nghiep fish sauce, Loan Do pork rolls, Xuan Hoa crispy oranges, Ngoc Mam rice, and Y Binh fermented pork...
Alongside Ha Tinh, Ha Nam has also implemented many solutions to enhance the effectiveness of digital transformation in trade promotion activities.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Quang – Deputy Director of Nha Xa Ecotourism and Silk Weaving Cooperative (Ha Nam) – shared that applying digital transformation to trade promotion activities not only helps businesses promote their image and product brand but also offers opportunities to secure contracts for product distribution. It is also a chance for businesses to re-evaluate their products, identify limitations, and gradually improve and complete their products to meet market demand.
Regarding digital transformation in trade promotion, Mr. Hoang Chi Dung – Deputy Director of the Ha Nam Department of Industry and Trade – said that recently, the Department has carried out many support activities such as: assisting businesses in building their own websites; supporting enterprises to participate in the Ha Nam provincial e-commerce exchange and major domestic e-commerce platforms; piloting the 4.0 market model for most markets in the province; and implementing the project "Building and developing a set of online brands for some products of Ha Nam province."
According to the plan, by 2025, Ha Nam province aims to build and complete the update of a specialized trade promotion database and key trade and export industries of the province into the digital trade promotion ecosystem. By 2030, more than 80% of businesses will have websites that are regularly updated with product introductions and sales; 100% of businesses will place or receive orders through e-commerce platforms and social networks...
"Currently, online sales channels account for 60% of the company's revenue," said Mr. Y Pot Nie – Director of E De Café Joint Stock Company (Dray Sap commune, Krong Ana district) – adding that applying digital technology solutions in trade promotion not only helps businesses promote their image and brand but also approach markets and customers more quickly and effectively.
“The top solution now to enhance the effectiveness of trade promotion is to focus on implementing digital transformation,” emphasized Mr. Vu Ba Phu – Director of the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) – noting that changes in the global and regional situation bring both opportunities and challenges, posing many new requirements for trade promotion work. Therefore, trade promotion activities in the future will be flexible and innovative, combining traditional and modern methods, tied to e-commerce and the digital economy.
Particularly, focus will be placed on investing in digital transformation to enhance the effectiveness of trade promotion, thereby strengthening communication, promotion, and improving the competitiveness of Vietnamese branded products and goods; raising awareness among the business community about green transformation and sustainable production to support businesses in improving competitiveness and adapting to current market trends.
